Won't know until I see the S10 in person. I prefer the flat screen of the Ultra, but it's a bit too thick and heavy for me to wear comfortably. When the S8 and original Ultra came out, I tried both and ended up keeping the S8 and returned the Ultra even though I liked the Ultra screen better, because S8 was more comfortable to wear. I suspect that I'll come to the same conclusion with the S10, but we'll see.
Same. Going to try to make it work with a photos watch face and widgets.
Just picked up my Gold Titanium 42, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I traded my SS series 7 that was also gold but this gold is much nicer and actually matches perfect a linked bracelet watch band from Kate Spade, it is an absolute perfect match. This watch face is noticeably bigger but I like it, as well as the weight is a definitely difference. My Series 9 SS Graphite was always a bit lighter than my series 7 but this really is a big difference.
I think people need to understand that these are ultimately fashion items, and preferences will be different. And there may be a place for both.
Did the same a day or two ago and hit the same disappointment/frustration I do each year.
I received the 10 watch today. Initial opinion is the the large screen, and brightness of display is very nice of my 7’s watch. It seems more comfortable than my old watch even with my smallish wrist. Bit note that could be i did use the mesh wristband on my 7 watch much. I’ll have to try my older wristbands. all in all I’m happy with the purchase.

I replaced my AWU2 and S7 Black Titanium with an AWU2 Black and a 46mm Jet Black S10. The AWU2 is my usual daily watch and the normal AW for night duty. I am a sucker for black Apple Watches since the OG. I was using the S7 for sleep tracking but I really wanted the Sleep Apnea detection and they gave me 120 for my S7 so it was time.
Comparing the two, the normal watch is nice and all but flimsy in comparison the the Ultra. Good for night duty but I have gotten use to the heft of the ultra for daily use. The finish on both are great. The AWU2 finish is a throwback to the OG black titanium, it can get quite light under direct light but can also look matte black under certain conditions. The Jet Black of the Series 10 is the nicest Aluminum AW finish that in have ever seen, not sure how well it will hold up to abuse but it looks amazing.

Trading in my S7. Went with the S10 46mm Jet black with the blue Nike band. Instantly regretting the band choice. I'm not liking the extra stitching on the band. Finding it to be itchy. Hoping it's just because I have been wearing the Ultra bands for so long and I'm just not used to it. I may just have to get a new Ultra 2 band in black to go with the S10. I was considering the Ultra 2 upgrade as well but may just keep my Ultra 1 until next year.
I can see that. I'll probably eventually feel the same 😂
Wearing the S10 Titanium now and took a look at the black AWU 2 at BestBuy this afternoon, and that's a beautiful watch...so much nicer looking than the regular titanium. But still a bit overkill/large for me when I'm not working out.
(I need to keep reminding myself why I sold mine this summer...)
feels like the ultra isn't really designed for most women honestly. it looks huge on most guys' wrists already. I don't have any need for the sport features anyway though so S10 (coming from a 1st gen SE) is an easy choice.
I had a silver SE but I'm almost leaning towards the jet black this time. I don't know how good it'd look with the bands I like though. I have to go to a store for something anyway so I'm going to check how they look in person. I was actually hoping for a stainless steel option, online at least I don't like the look of the titanium shades (and don't need cellular)

I went with the Series 10 46mm aluminum in Jet black. I had a hard time deciding between the Silver and Jet Black. I normally go for the starlight/silver watches but when Apple announced the Jet black in high gloss... I immediately was attracted to that. I did start looking around on the forums here about the Jet Black, and saw that some folks were concerned about the jet black prone to scratches as the iPhone 7. I decided to go into the store and just see in person which I liked better.
I talked to one of the employees at Apple if they think the Jet black scratches would be visible or prone to scratches, and they told me that with their personal opinion — the matte black is more visible than the high gloss black, and they wish they didn't get the matte black watches. They also told me that they didn't think the jet black would be prone to it. 🤷♀️ But after comparing the silver and the jet black in person, I couldn't help myself and got the Jet black. It looks so nice and premium! 😍 The only other dark watch I had was the green aluminum but I didn't like it. But the Jet black is where it's at for me.

Running in a small annoyance I never had read before: today I´m walking. T-shirt and jeans jacket. Inside the sleeve is a small seam where the edge of the ultra2 display always get caught for a millisecond while raising the arm to look at the watch. Very annoying!
After this hard week with all the software trouble Apple is producing with its "changes" the next thing to destroy my nerves. What a bad week for me!

I preordered a Series 10, then tried on an Ultra 2 at the Apple Shop, and had a bit of a wobble, but kept my preorder, and I am glad that I have.
I had a NaTi S10 on order, but after seeing pics of the black U2 I cancelled the 10 and picked up the U2 at the Apple Store. Not sorry at all.
I should have asked between titanium and ultra. The cheap watch is impacting the poll.
