Anyone else love love love the white bezels on their iPad (and for that matter, iPhone too) ?

I am still using my iPad Pro 10.5" that I bought the day it was released back in 2017, and it's still going strong and I love it.

The new iPad Pros are beasts no doubt, but there is something I really enjoy about the white bezels on my iPad. It feels more like the charming and fun Apple that existed before it became the hyper Dieter Rams-esque, ultra industrial product design company we know of today.

I had a white bezel iPad for several years and liked it. I like the thin black bezels of the iPad Pro but I really wish it came in more colors other than space grey and silver. I miss the bright colors of the old Apple like blue, orange etc. For some reason, “pro” has become associated with dullness at Apple.

I found the white bezel to be too distracting and bright.

I never liked the white bezels, and after using them for a while neither do any of my family members anymore. I used to buy different colors to make it easier to tell whose is who's, but then no one wanted the white ones anymore. So I'm glad they got rid of it.

For me I never liked it because either the bezel make the screen look yellowish, or a screen (with more of a blue hue) made the bezel look yellowish.

I prefer my iPhone and iPad Mini to have white bezels simply because they’re small devices and white makes them easier to find in a dark room. My large 2nd gen 12.9” iPad Pro is always easy to find so it has black bezels, but mostly just to match the black screen when it’s off. I don’t know if I would have a preference otherwise.

Black bezel is always better to presents what’s on the screen (general visual presentation 101).
But white was fun too in the age of thick bezels.
Nowadays, as bezels growing thinner, I think black is always better. Not to mention it compliments whatever color on the back are.

My 10.5” Pro (and all iPhones for that matter until the X) were with a white front. I always felt it was more Apple-like, but I honestly barely notice them so it doesn’t matter to me. I’m not sure the white bezels would look as good on the new devices.

My newest Mini is black and it is practically “better” for me but I think the gold and white IPP 10,5” is the best looking one I got. Would they release an air like in that picture, I’d likely rather go for white again.

I have white on my Mini 5, but I don’t think white bezels would look right on the 3rd/4th Gen Pro design.

Had white bezels on my iPad 2 but then got the black bezels on my current Air 2. I think black wins the day for me. Thought white was cool when it first came out but the black to me just looks better on a tablet.

The reasons I like the black are for when the screen is off, it looks nicer to me as a single slab of color. But also with videos, the white borders used to stand out to me a bit more, so I didn’t get as immersed in what I was watching. With the new iPad Pro models, I like how the cameras are also hidden in the black bezel, whereas they were very obvious in the white ones.

Enjoying white bezels now on my 5th and 6th gens, Air 3, Mini 5, and iPod 8th gen Nanos. Not distracting at all, and to me it's not an Apple product without it!

I've gone back and forth since my iPhone 4s. But most of my Apple Devices have been the space grey. I find the darker colors much more pleasant to use. That said, when I did have white iPhones and white iPads - I did enjoy them. I find reading text easier on black iPads/iPhones. Black iPhones also work in more cases than white (at least the ones I use).

But I've had Space Grey for the last few generations so if I had a choice, I'd probably go silver/white for my next iPhone/iPad if given the choice.

I personally prefer black bezels as it blends in with the screen, and also makes the iphone/iPad appear slimmer compared to white bezels, in the same way that darker clothes make you appear slimmer. They are exactly the same size obviously, but it’s like an optical illusion. I do appreciate the white bezels though, as they give that retro Apple design harking back to the iPod days as when you see a white bezeled phone/tablet, you know it’s an Apple product.

White bezeled iPad Pro 12.9inch would be so good I have a white bezeled iPad Mini and its still good but would definitely admire a white bezeled iPad Pro 12.9 or 11 inch

I prefer white. I read a lot, from scientific journal, seminar paper, kindle books, news etc. White bezel make all the screen uniformly white edge to edge. I rarely use dark mode anyway.
