Hello everyone, I bought a used macbook pro 2011 for cheep and wanted to remove opencore with Moterey. After putting an old ssd the mac ran windows 10 (as i forgot it was not empty) and with the hdd the old owner gave me, the mac is able to run Monterey.

It has been a few days now I was trying to make a clean installation of High Sierra on the ssd but with no results. If I try to boot the installation from an external usb of the OS after the loading I only get a white screen. The same if I run interent recovery. Tryed to reset NVRAM, PRAM, SMC but nothing changed. I read on the internet that can be a problem related with the GPU but I am not shure if it was only disabled to allow opencore to work fine as Monterey does not support the native graphic card.

Am I wrong? Is there something I can do to try to understand if the gpu is damaged? and in this case, is there a way to keep it disabled but install the old official supported Operating System on another ssd?

PS: The strange thing is..if the GPU was disabled from the terminal, why I have problems only if i switch the bootable drive? Should be this something saved on the motherboard or something?
