I have a Moto X and iPhone 5S that I switch between often. I enjoy using both platforms, like many people here.

HTC 8X (Windows Phone) for work, and Galaxy S4 for personal. After 8.1, the 8X could pretty easily be the only phone I'd need, but the data cap is 2GB on Verizon which is well under the 5-8GB I use a month on the S4 with T-Mobile.

I rarely carry both at once, though. Usually the 8X during business hours and the S4 during my off hours.

If I've got my purse with me, I carry 2-3 phones (AT&T postpaid, Verizon prepaid & T-Mobile prepaid). The T-Mobile (unlocked Verizon iPhone 5c) was just to try out coverage (which apparently sucks where I work). Verizon (Moto G) is my backup in the rare cases I don't have coverage with AT&T. If I don't have a purse, I just stick to my main phone (iPhone 5s AT&T) since family members tend to use FaceTime to call me.

Hi, name is Rafael and I have a problem. LOL

Take last week during the NHL playoffs, I was watching the game on my S5 and using my Z2 to browse & text.

You should have seen me during March Madness. 3 phones and an iPad all going at once for different games.

I still keep my iPhone 4S with me though my daily driver is a Note 2. I don't bring it every single time I go out the door, but I keep it next to my bed at home and bring it whenever I'll be away for a day or longer. The reason - Android still sucks big time for music recording and instrument tuning apps. I also pretty much need the Sleep Cycle app, and there are a few iOS-only games that I like to play.

People should check on Android Authority's Best Android Smartphones of 2013 on YouTube.

Each Android has a distinct feature that caters to a certain someone. Nexus 5 was for the gamers, Note 3 was named for the workhorse type, and Xperia Z1 was for the outdoor-type.

It is way too common to see people with two phones in my country. Perhaps even more not including their tablet. In the US, it might be more different because it is a market based on subsidized contracts. Perhaps the backup phone is their old phone from a prev contract. In Asia, off contact phones can be quite cheap at least with local brands. And there are several more brands to choose from. Asus is from Taiwan but they are selling a $150 quad core tablet here in the Philippines which is a revised version of their Fonepad 7. Depends alot on each individual's lifestyle.

Some people use their old iPhone, mostly a 3GS, as an iPod. In that case it actually makes sense to carry more than one phone at a time. Other reason I can think of is work vs private.

My company IT department will not allow me to VPN in with android. Forced to carry a POS sprint 4s to get onto certain systems. I have all calls forwarded to my personal note 3.

I carry two as well iPhone 5S for work (supplied) and a HTC One M7 GPe converted which is my personal cell.

Although I rarely carry the iPhone unless I am going to the office or stepping out for lunch. After hours it is just the HTC.
