Me.
I bought the top end original 64GB iPad in late 2010 and got into the game early. Then iOS 5 came out and sucked all the life out of it. So I moved to a Nexus 7, then sold that. Then went to an iPad mini for a while, but didn't use it enough to keep it around, and it was getting slow on iOS 7.
I find I use my phone for everything I could do on a tablet. Currently I'm content with my Moto X and retina MacBook Pro 13" with external everything. It's a full desktop hooked to a 23" 1080p monitor, M-Audio AV40's, 2x 4TB USB3 drives, and an Apple keyboard, trackpad, and mouse.
It gets used off the dock at least as much as it does on the desk. Anything I did on the iPad/Nexus is way faster on my actual laptop, and when I'm out and about my phone does just as good as the tablet would, just smaller and has mobile data.
I may pick up another tablet in the future, but for now, it just isn't needed. Fun, sure, but not needed. Thanks to more powerful, high res, larger sized phones, and ultraportable laptops.
