Now that I’ve been using my iPhone with 3D Touch disabled for more than 3 months now, I no longer have the habit of pressing hard anywhere on the screen.

I think I’m fully ready for Phone 11 Pro now.

Well done, I guess....

Never considered disabling it until I saw this thread lol. I guess I’ll give it a go in preparation.

I turned it off before I typed this post and I’m going to miss force touching on the keyboard to move the cursor.. now I’m going to have to remember to hold the space bar lol

But the iPhone 11 has haptic touch which is a variation of 3D touch. I don't understand what you need to 'prep' for. You have too much free time on your hands to worry about things that do not matter.

The prep’s goal is to simply kill off the habit of wanting to press hard on the screen. What’s so hard to understand? Now I simply press or long-press normally without force.

Force was annoying.

I hope that three months of your life was worth it. It will take most of us 2 seconds to adjust with no prep.

That’s what you think. When I first disabled 3D Touch, my brain still made me hard-press certain buttons for several weeks. Especially the flashlight on the lock screen, I continued hard-pressing it for almost 2 months.

It’s addictive.
