This function certainly could lead to some rather embarrassing moments. :)

My series 0 doesn’t embarrass me this way, just takes 5 minute to turn on. :)

I really love the feature, but am now realizing that I have to remember to turn off my availability before every meeting. Does silent mode alone silence the chirp and the person speaking?

A) I like the feature and will use mainly on the weekend during outdoor activities.

B) This is why I turn off availability after I used it. So it’s off by default.

C) Someone can still request to contact me and I can decide if I accept or not.

So off by default works for me.

But of course that’s only a short term experience.

As a sucker for gimmicks, I must say I do not understand the appeal with WT. Can someone explain why this is advantageous over a quick phone call?

Can you imagine going to a meeting with a walkie talkie? Me either... So it doesn't have to be so black and white. Keep the integrity of the walkie talkie principal there but only when someone approves to accept the back and forth.
Yeah, I just want a simple way to schedule it outside of work hours.

Yeah, I leave it off by default now too— I don’t want connections coming through any time during the work day. Turn it on occasionally like evenings or weekends, but it seems like I’ll probably forget about the app eventually from lack of use.

I figure if there’s a situation where it will really come in handy, a quick text request to turn it on should do the job.

All you have to do is put it on theatre mode. That will silence walkie talkies from coming thru.
[doublepost=1538276267][/doublepost]Just put it on theatre mode. It mutes aLL WT alerts

This sounds like the most entertaining feature and best use I’ve heard of yet for an Apple Watch. I haven’t wanted one until I read this.

Now I’m picturing having women at the bar say very inappropriate things to my friends when they’re home with their wives.

Or having someone “accidentally” talk about a very private subject to a friend I want to prank during his staff meetings.

Yeah... finally a reason to get an Apple Watch. This is the first feature I’ve heard of that could justify the expense over my traditional watch.
