yeah not the greatest@Bluejelly. Same here. It still kept 9 on phone. Sucks. We have to do a full restore to get back.

How do I do that?
Go here http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
In the drop down menu download the .ipsw for your device (it downloads it directly from Apple, nothing shady here)
Open iTunes and plug in your device
Go to the main device summary screen
Windows: Shift+Click on Restore
Mac: Alt/Option+Click on Restore
Then browse for and double click the 8.4 file. Make sure it doesn't do a backup so your 8.4 backup isn't overwritten
No problem. Let us know how it goesThanks for the help mate, will give it a go when I'm back later on!
Batting1000. Dumb question. Do I download that ipsw file from my phone browser or do it on my computer? Because I did it from my phone and nothing really happened lol

Thanks. And when you say go to main device summary screen, is that the one where it will give me option to restore or sync? And if so, I hit the shift key and the restore from backup at the same time?
Are there really this many people that installed the beta and didn't archive a backup through iTunes?
Correct. You'll get the option to put your backup on after the restore is complete.
Sorry. One last question. Just to be sure I hit shift and restore from backup or restore as new? I think there are 2 choices. And when all this is done I will get my original 8.4 back with all my apps and setting the way they were?
How is your iPad 4 on 8.4? I still have mine on 7.1.2. When iOS 8 can out I put it on but immediately downgraded because of the stuttering and slow safari. Is it as smooth as 7.1.2 now? Could you do me a quick favor and run a sun spider test? I'm getting 777.9 ms on 7.1.2. Just curious. Don't want to make things worse but there are a few apps that I want to use that require iOS 8.Yep. Gone back on my iPhone 5S and will be reverting my iPad 4 tonight. iOS 9 PB left me with no notifications whatsoever on both devices, despite numerous reboots, resets, toggling on and off. It ran hot, killed my iCloud backups. Not good.
El Capitan however is buttery smooth and incredibly solid...
Shift + restore. While you are setting up 8.4, you'll get the option to restore from an iTunes backup. It'll let you plug into the computer and restore a backup. Be sure your 8.4 backup is archived or that you don't make a new backup before it restores to 8.4
Batting is there anyway to check the version of the backup that was done?
Control-Click the backup, and instead of selecting the "Archive" option like it shows in the second image on the linked Apple Support page, click "Show in Finder." Open the folder it pulls up, then open Info.plist. Scroll down in that plist and find the "Product Version" key... that should show you what version of iOS you were on when you created that backup.I don't believe so but it'll tell you when it was done so you can think about what version you were running on that date

I have to stick with this... I'm not gonna lose data that I've got since I last backed up. I have important chats on an app and after a restore, they don't come back. What I do want to know is if its possible to update from beta 3 to public beta. I wanna reinstall iOS 9 without losing anything.
What's the point of going from beta 3 to public beta? They have identical build numbers.
