I have several Android devices as backups, my latest being the Xaomi Mi Mix 2S but since I got the XS MAX, I havent taken it with me out of the house at all.

It's funny, I got an LG V30 as a replacement for my 6S, but lately it's been kind of unreliable and buggy so now my old 6S is back in action while the V30 is used as a backup phone and high-res audio player (which it excels at BTW). My 6S was kind of a mess under iOS 11 but iOS 12 made a huge difference and now it's as speedy as the day I got it back in 2016.

It would be difficult for me to move my “life” on an Android phone. Been many years since I used one but prefer to keep a iPhone spare. Only takes a few minutes to restore it and I am ready to go.

I have a very similar setup.

Restoring with iOS is difficult feature to ignore.

I have an S9+, Esseential phone and iPhone X!!

The X is on eBay though and I’ll probably sell the Essential too. I only usually have 1 droid and 1 iDevice

I have three T-Mobile lines and one AT&T.

I use a 8+ just so I can use my two Apple watches.

My daily phone is either my S9+, T-Mobile Note 9 or my AT&T Note 9.

Clearly i don't need all these phones/lines, but I have the three T-Mobile lines simply because I only pay $100 for those lines.

I bring the S8+ to use in the car for music/podcasts and one of the Notes/S9+ in my pocket.

I have 4 working phones (plus an old bar phone in a drawer).
My iPhone X, my primary phone on ATT Prepaid
My iPhone 7+, my backup phone/line on a Verizon MVNO. Generally used when on the road in case of emergency or in a poor stretch for ATT.
A Moto E4 that is my "home" phone. Average $3/month on an ATT MVNO. Give that number out when required, leave at home.
A Moto G5 Plus, truly a backup phone. No plan for it, but it could in a pinch be used for any of the other 3 phones while I decided what to do. For instance, if I broke my X, depending on the release cycle of the iPhone, I could either use it until I get a replacement for the X, or it could replace the 7+, and I use the 7+ until next year's iPhones came out.
