ive only had one problem and that was the night after I installed it I went to bed and woke up like three hours later to the tiny little fan on my ibook whirring so loudly that it woke me up. I decided that I would just shut the computer down so I walked over and my skin was met with "an ibook with a fever." It wouldnt wake up from sleep, and the cscreen was all black with the little sleep light off or anything so I had to hard shut it down. No problems since though

10.4.3 has been perfect for me. It cleared up a couple problems I was having with 4.2. Haven't restarted since I installed 4.3 9 days 5 hours and 11 min ago.

I guess I'm been lucky that I've has no problems with 4.3

*Disclaimer* I did a clean install of Tiger when I finally upgraded from Jaguar 2 weeks ago.

Did that same jump - 10.2 to 10.4 - clean install. No problems with 10.4.3 that I wasn't having (very intermittantly) with 10.4.2.

Still a few little bugs though.... mail crashes occasionally and the dock doesn't magnify sometimes... even though it is set to....

10.4.3 was just another update for me. I didn't notice any changes other than Finder went to 10.4.2 and a new number in "About This Mac".

10.4.3 is working great for me!

All the programs work just fine, Pro Tools is still kicking as, havn't had a singled program perform an unexpected quit since upgrading.

all in all, 10.4.3 is working great for me!

Did anyone else notice suddenly that the "Dock" app was trying to connect to Apple?!?!
What is up with that?! Does it want to report all apps that are listed in it? :p

Are we slowly introduced to Mac OS phoning home?

How did you notice? I haven't seen anything like that on my machine and I'm perfectly happy with 10.4.3 - not happy with my machine, though, but I'm getting a new one soon.

It is curious that the quad G5s that are shipping have been arriving with 10.4.2, though.....

Little Snitch was reporting in.. this never happened before. I just wonder why the dock was trying to connect to the internet (and I believe the server was Apple.com).

that sound bug is frigging annoying...i thought i was the only one who got it...

Just remember the lyrics from Three trolls and a baggie.

"Windows sucks and BLOWS!":p

Seriously. In moving from Panther to 10.4.0,1,2,3 no significant problems, I always repair permissions before and after any upgrade.

I screwed aup Mail, iChat, and the FIRST time Safari has ever crashed on me. We need 10.4.4 now! Well, at least I do:D
You must be kidding me. My system is faster and more reliable, it has fixed some minor video issues, and finally

we have OPENGL 2.0 SUPPORT!!

Really! Check out OpenGL Extensions Viewer and see the results. In 10.4.2 the system would not pass Open GL 2.0 tests. Now it can. I can only imagine what this would mean for future games...

Also, spotlight and Safari is faster.

Did you repair permissions after the update? You must do this right after the update... or something might go wrong/

My dock locked up a few times during the first day or two, I've definitely had more stalls than I did with 10.4.2 but it seems to have settled down now and is working pretty well.
Same thing happened to me with my iMac right after the installation but after the next start up no problem (I thought it might be due to running Clear Dock, though I had no problems with my PB) Now everything's great

Is it just me or does typing in CAPS using cap locks and shift no longer produces lowercase letters?

I've never remembered this working (CAPS Loc + Shift = lower case) with any OSX, I've always just got uppercase, though I think Windows does this ??

Damn sound bug. I thought my speakers were broken at first. :-(

I disable caps lock entirely in 10.4, so I didn't notice any change with it.

The only problem I've had is with Dashboard which, on occasion and depending on the widgets I have going, will freeze or stop working forcing me to reboot the machine.

I think this was due to 3rd party widgets however.

I've had less problems with 10.4.3 than 4.2, but I've had a KP on each and had to reinstall the update with a combo update to get Spotlight working properly again (after I reindexed in 4.2). I think something was wrong with the Delta update.

Just last night, my iMac KP'd because of something to do with Bluetooth. I'll post the panic.log if anyone wants it (hint, hint... :d)

It seems to work fine for me. Although, with running Tiger on the laptop and Panther on the desktop I sometimes get confused and hit F12 on the desktop and wonder where the hell all my widgets are.

Have you noticed on iBooks that since the Media Eject Key and F12 are the same that F12 doesn't display Dashboard?

I ahve noticed my BT keyboard has been bugging up randomly since 10.4.3 aswell as a few other bugs that arent particularly annoying, i don't have any problems with mail and dunno about Safari as i use Camino anyway,
