Who here has Native Dark Mode for YouTube app?

The YouTube app has a Native Dark Mode that switches the theme based on iOS’s Dark Mode toggle.

YouTube has had this feature for over two years now, and I STILL DON’T HAVE IT.

Whether you strictly use Dark Mode or not, do you have the Native Dark Mode toggle at all? What country do you live in?

I feel like I won’t get YouTube app’s PiP feature just like with Native Dark Mode…

Nope I don't have it either.

Annoyingly I found a way online to make it appear (uninstall, log out, log in as guest, then log in normally) but as soon as there's an app update it removes it. Its REALLY annoying and I just can't understand why YouTube is holding it back for some people.

So I just have to manually toggle to dark mode when it gets dark. I've kind of accepted its never coming tbh. I mean its been two years now.

EDIT: just to make clear I have the toggle but I don't have the option to use device settings
 
For the web app... you have to use "Request Desktop Site" website option in Safari. Without it, the website is always white 😢

It looks like the world is one giant testing ground for Google with different people seeing different settings and options.
 
I mistakingly voted yes on the poll, but I don’t have the option either. I DID have it a while back but only very very briefly. It was gone as fast as it had shown up in the first place.

edit: I have dark mode, but I don’t have the device settings/auto option. I did briefly but not anymore.

In the US.

Have Dark Mode, I've had it quite awhile.. I honestly didn't know that this feature hasn't been widely available. I'm guessing PiP feature will unfortunately share the same experience... but I've been using Safari to watch PiP for YT.

Are you referring to when it changes to dark mode depending on the system, or just a simple toggle for it to be on or off? I only have the latter.

My apologies for not clarifying... I have the toggle, but wouldn't the dark mode depending on the system be a good consolidation.

No problem at all. I think that’s the point that people are getting at, including me. That most of us have the toggle to turn it on or off, but do not have the option for it to work along with the rest of the system.

I’ve put in a support request with YouTube but I don’t expect to get any kind of decent reply.

I couldn’t say for sure sorry, but for a few months at least I’d say.

I despise the way features are slowly rolled out these days, especially when the documentation/help doesn’t acknowledge it.

it's pointless for Dark Mode not be widely available in YT... there's just no argument in place that they should be selective in rolling it out.

Granted, as much as I hate the rollout of PiP... I can understand the argument since YT needs to monetize their product. But Dark Mode should be available worldwide and for all users regardless if they are non-premium users.
