I just updated to 2.2 TapaTalk pro and its really bad. The app force closes a lot and I have battery drain issues. Deleting until another update releases.

There's a new update out today

Classic thread style

Is that the old tapatalk ?

No. It's yet again a new version with so much clicking to navigate around. This app is getting worse.. They should have just left taptalk 1 as they keep saying 'yes, we will introduce that feature back'.
Why not just leave tapatalk 1 there until they have something ready? This is worse than the apple maps disaster!

What's the big deal? Tapatalk 2 is easy to figure out. So is Tapatalk Pro.

Much better features too.

Yeh I thought they'd come to their senses and given an option to revert back to the version that worked, because of all the negative feedback.

3 updates in one week says it all really. Epic fail. All of them rubbish and proving it should have been left as it was.

Use this lousy new version for T'2' for those that want it and leave original for the ones that wanted it left alone

Watch out, the new tapatalk tracks your links and monitors what you do NSA style.

Wait so what's different in the pro version? I naively just purchased the pro one without even thinking and now I realize both apps look and act nearly identically.

It's not all bad! Just takes a little getting used to. Bit nostalgic tho looking at the old iOS 6 style keyboard! Lol

Just wish there were more free themes available!

A lot of the box coming up asking me to register or sign in again when I'm already signed in when you first go on some of your forums,

The ads in 'participated' to make you think its a post you were involved in but just a way to get you to click on an ad is very underhand and bang out of order when you've paid for the app. Just because it's supposedly free now is not my problem! I paid not to have ads.

It's still nowhere near as good and simple as it was before the update

Here is my review on the latest tapatalk

Don't they just get better

I'm still using the old version, have not updated v1.17.1 to 2.0.4

Here you see screenshot of the old version 1.17.1, can you please take screenshot of the new version 2.0.4 and post it here please?

I still use the free version and when I updated it when I got the new phone it looked like Tapatalk 2/Tapatalk Pro. I miss the old themes. They were so colorful.

Thanks, its just as ugly as the PRO version.

First they sell us "good" version, then they make crappy PRO version, and after while the turn the "good" version into the crappy PRO. And after that they make "free" version full of blinking ads!

Whats wrong with these people?

Do Asians really think that Europe and USA are some kind of milking cows?

Then they start tracking your browsing trends, links you click, forums you visit etc and keep a record on their database. True, see their forum and silence on the issue

Oh how I miss that 'participated' tab!!!
[swoon]

Had anyone noticed with tapatalk it now pops up often with a page asking you to notify everyone on the forum, your contacts and friends you are using tapatalk and sends them a messgae? It's annoying and the screen pops up which is designed for you to accidentally press yes and spam everyone.

This and the NSA tracking tapatalk do on every click to build a profile of who you are shows how shoddy the company is. There is a thread of people taking them to court on their own forums!

There was a time when you saw the 'updates' that you thought it may go back to the days when it was great. But even with this immense amount of updates each one is more crap than the last.

They'd have been wise to stick to the old adage 'if it ain't broke...'
They haven't a clue. Before the awful updates it was brilliant. Can't even get close to it now.
