At this point I have no idea what the product is or does, so I will reserve judgment on whether I want one whether it has 1 day or 1 year battery life

First off, we don't know what exactly it will be and what its spec will be.

However, if it lasted at least a day, from sun up to sun down (summer hours), I'd have no problem with it. I charge my stuff each night and easily make it through the day with them.

There's just too much unknown over the product to make any informed and educated decision.

That depends on several factors. Really, first off, what do I do with an iWatch to begin with? Is it just my notifications and maybe Siri on my wrist? Does it add more functionality? Why do I want this thing?

If it does indeed give me some functionality that I feel warrants buying it, if it lasts 24 hours of normal use and I just have to charge it over night along with my phone I don't see why that would be a big deal. I charge all my other devices over night every night, and it causes me no pain or problems.

The big issue for me would be if it can't last through the work day and I find myself in the position of having to take it off and plug it in while working or it dying while I'm out doing something after work. If it's going to last the whole day and I just have to charge it at night no problem; if I have to top it off throughout the day then it's not worth the hassle.

I will get back to the question once I heard Apple say something about their iWatch. In that way, I could make an objective decision to buy one or not.

Is it bad that I'd blindly buy one?
1. I love watches.
2. Apple rarely makes a bad product.
That's enough for me!

It's not bad. But I wouldn't do it. With a brand new product like this I'd wait about 6 months to ensure its a good product, free of glaring defects. However, if the iPhone 6 was available to pre-purchase before the announcement I'd buy it since this iPhone is a proven product.

I can't understand people who ask if we would buy something we know absolutely nothing about..
Just wait and see, will you?

Even though we know nothing about it, I don't think I'll be purchasing it as I'm not really into watches.

If it's more than just notifications and Siri, I probably will.

But we'll have to see what it is.

Those battery talks are exactly like when the iPhone came out that ONLY lasted one day.. We were used to our dumbphones with 7 days battery life.

The transition with smart watches will be the same. We just need to get used to charge it every night. And it will be painless if it has inductive charging.

Not me. Just because I'm not really interested in the iWatch.

Yeah most people really don't want to have a watch that needs charging every day. Regardless of specs. I suppose it's not that different from charging a phone before bed, but I used to sell athletic watches and even those had battery lives that didn't require daily charging.

I haven't worn a watch in 30 years and I don't plan to start now. On the other hand, we don t even know if this thing is a watch. It could be a wearable mini iphone.

As long as it's waterproof, you can store music on it, and listen over Bluetooth, sounds great. Would make a better running companion than my iPod (which also has '1-day' battery life).

I wouldn't wear it any other time, though. I don't wear watches.
