iPhone Who’s excited for 13.1 today?

I’m ready! Still on 12.4.1 on my XS. Was kinda iffy about updating to 13.0 after reading all the reviews. Hopefully 13.1 is better. My phone is running perfectly on 12.4.1 so why ruin a good thing? :)

Sure, I get that. But my iPhone is a work tool. I need Mail to be working properly & I need CarPlay to not be temperamental. I'll read everyone's feedback today and if it sounds promising I'll set my 11 Pro up tomorrow.

Carplay in 13.0 is stable as a rock.

Also make sure your dealer installs the latest head unit SW in your car. Made a big difference for me (Volkswagen Polo 2018 model). So far, I couldn't connect Carplay AFTER I started the car or after parking mode kicked in.

The only negative thing I’ve noticed in iOS 13 I no longer receive notifications for new emails in Edison mail app. I think it’s because the app doesn’t update in the background, because when I open it, it will fetch new mail instead of automatically doing it in the background.

if iOS 13.1 fixes this, then yeah I’m on board.

My definition of rock solid would appear to differ from yours then.

Rock solid to me means I connect the phone and it works. Every time. No faffing about. No going back to the dealer. No not being able to connect affect the car is started.

I have a 2018 Golf GTI.

Appreciate the advice but your post concerns me more then it reassured me.

Sorry to burst your bubble but 13.1 doesn't really fix much. I've been using it for weeks and there isn't really much of a difference from the final release version of 13.0
 
iOS 13.1 is really fast only needs some bug fixes now 13.0 was slow on my x
 
13.1 sure makes some things better , but it’s not perfect either. Load better than 13.0 so I will take what I can get
 
I very much miss badge notifications for Mail. I hope this fixes that. I only get badges when the email comes in when the screen is unlocked.
