I replaced the original 12.9" with the newest 12.9". It is fantastic. It is amazing how well it produced sound while being so thin. The screen looks great all the way to the edge. I got a custom Dodo case for it. Really nice. The new Pencil is great. The speed of this thing is amazing. I can flip through big PDFs like flipping through a sheaf of printed paper.

My one beef with it is that I'd prefer a Lightning port. I have a Flir infrared camera that requires that port. At least I can still use it on the iPhone. I've looked for an adapter to give me back the Lightning port but no luck so far.

Ya i’m Having dongle fever. Dongle for the iPhone and a dongle for the iPad. And a regular jack for the iPod and MacBook. It’s a mess.

I’m really digging mine - I’ve got my 12.9” set up perfectly for both on the go and at my desk. I was contemplating getting a MacBook Air or Pro as a companion device, but the iPad really does everything I need and want. The 12.9”, for me, is portable enough for couch surrfing and, with a keyboard, is the perfect desk machine as well. I’m very happy thus far.

Was kind of forced to change since my 10.5 developed the bright spot issue. Was also consolidating from both 2017 Pro models to a single pro this year. Ended up with the 11 and love it - actually enjoying it more than I expected and does feel like a strong upgrade from the 10.5 once you spend some time with it from the bigger screen, FaceID and improved Pencil implementation. I bought from Apple with the intention of returning if happy and buying from John Lewis for their cheaper accidental warranty. This one is flawless; screen is perfect and battery life is excellent so just keeping this one from Apple.
I really enjoy the new design and the slightly bigger screen on the new 11 although it is weird when switching from landscape to portrait as it seems too slim for a period of time due to that new screen ratio. If you start off in portrait which I spend most of my time in then it feels normal. I also use the Pencil more this time around due to the more convenient charging, pairing and storing. I do miss the bigger screen of the 12.9 from time to time but that is the one concession I need to make having gone back to a single iPad - I still prefer the 11 overall as it feels a more personal device to me and is just as capable.

Went from 1st Gen 12. to 3rd Gen. 256GB with Pencil and Keyboard Folio.

The usb-c interface works much better with Duet Display.

The smaller form factor is a big plus IMO.

I've been doing a lot of interviews lately and its nice to have the person's resume and note app split screen. You could do this with Gen 1 but the size makes it much more manageable.

Love my new 10.5”! It’s screen is flawless, headphones sound great with an excellent built in DAC, and it’s solid and reliable. The price was great. Not missing the buggy 11” I exchanged it for at all.

Every iPad is an awesome machine! Seriously, we tech enthusiasts get too hung up on specs and numbers. Take a moment and think about how the devices we take for granted today were literally science fiction just 15 or 20 years ago!

I mean, a simple rectangular device with a touchscreen interface, able to wirelessly access a worldwide computer network thereby accessing and sending information anywhere on the planet in seconds. It's a camera, a music/media player, e-book/magazine reader, game console, with the ability to install new applications with a simple tap of the screen, thereby continuously adding new functionality!

Seriously, the tech that many of us complain about and criticize would have seemed like something from the starship Enterprise if you showed it to the you of 1999.

I'm not sure if this is only for the new generation of Pro models, but I have the 1st gen 12.9 Pro and I still love it. I use it as my main computer. I thought about updating at one point, but decided that this device still works so well for how I use it (nothing too intensive) that I'll hold out until I really "need" to upgrade ;)

I love my new 11 inch model. I was concerned about how face ID would work in landscape mode while on my lap but it works almost flawlessly. The extra screen real estate feels like a nice upgrade from my 9.7 IPP.
Same. Going from an Air 2 to an 11" was a pretty big jump in size for me, can't believe how massive the screen feels.

Same here, but I was able to get 425 for mine, so after 3 years to recover 1/3 of the price seemed like a good idea to upgrade.

The smaller form factor is a big plus, also usb-c.

Someone did a cool graphic of all the old tech (huge VHS camera, for example) that is now squeezed into our tiny devices laid out on a table. Definitely made you stop and think how far things have come.

Yeah, I’ve seen that. Basically it used to take a backpack full of devices to perform all of the functions that a single iPad or iPhone does now.

64GB 11" LTE iPad Pro. I love this device. Awesome screen, super fast and very portable. I can find no flaws anywhere.
