I see. Apparently it's still a news to some people that Apple charges more for their hardware while skimping on most everything. Did you know that iPad comea with less RAM than some Android phones?

Yeah, damn you Apple for having brilliant engineers who can make devices that don't need the fastest chips or a truckload of memory in order to provide a great user experience. Of course, that means Apple misses out on sales to spec whores who make their purchase decisions based on checkmarks on comparison sheets, but I think they'll be okay without that particular demographic.

So what?

Non-Apple, top of the line smart phones probably all have better speced hardware than Apple. What they don't have is the software nor the same high number of very satisfied users. ANd that's with ATT not performing well in some key markets.

That was just a generic example which holds true through the entire line of Apple products. You can replace HP with DELL or Archos or whatever you want if for some reason you do not like HP.

How does something that doesn't exist, hold true?

Ok... Check out the new Apple imaginaryland pad. The perfect solution for those who like to make up things to argue with. It has an apple logo, 9bizillion ram and is made by Dell; all for $1.75. It's the perfect replacement to your HP non-released Slate.

the "less RAM than some android phones" argument is a joke. its the same one PC guys give when bashing Macs. Those devices need 4GB RAM and 3GHz processors because their operating systems are RESOURCE HOGS!!!!!!!

apple does not have to put 1GB of RAM in the iPad to make it run well because the OS does not need it.

I used to buy based on specs. i need 4GB RAM and 2.66GHz, why?

because thats the measure of a good machine, right? No!!!

Now i just buy what works well and works well for me.

Gotta admit though I was a bit dissapointed in the OP's measure of excellent customer service. yeah it was a nice gesture, but come on, it doe not warrant a "Best company in the world"

They decide to give you a case it cost them $2 to produce when you are spending over $500 with them, and you call that amazing?

Sorry.... glad your satisfied but I would still be pissed if I was told it would be delivered earlier than it actually was.

you know people complain about this but MS is no better they a 10 dollar cd and charge 100-300 for software.
