I am satisfied and my products are not top of the range.

20" iMac 2007/2008 1gb Internal Mem (Updated myself to 3gb) running Snow leopard 10.6 and iTunes 9.2

32gb WiFi iPad (Love it use it all the time Air Video, Comic Zeal, Stanza (Better than iBooks I think) apps for my son) looking forward to IOS4

16gb 3G iPhone (Just bought this second hand for my wife 150euro) not updating to IOS4 as advice said it will slow the device.

So overall not top spec but I am very happy.

Some of us are... To a certain extent I believe it is human nature and to a further extent a social norm... Especially in the US where people tend to bitch a lot more even when everything is good. Just my humble observation. :D

Apple's philosophy as far as the ipad's concerned, is the same as it was with the original iPhone.
They make sure that they concentrate on getting the root core features nailed: The touch screen, the multitouch, the experience.
If these basics are perfect out of the gate, they know that'll be enough.
Trust me, if the iPad had a laggy, unresponsive touch screen and poor viewing angles, it would have flopped.
That's more important that maxing out on specs(as far as Apple is concerned).

IMO, that's just down to 4.x being superior to 3.2.

I agree, I know people complain about multitasking on the iPhone, but I find it very frustrating jumping from my iPhone to the ipad. The only reason is the OS. I'll be happy once the OS's are comparable.
