Hi!
Apologies if I've missed this anywhere!
I've got a MacBook Air M2, 2022. I updated it to Tahoe when I got it, but after installing Kaspersky Internet Security.
I'm UK-based, so no problems there.
However, something buggy is going on with it! It keeps asking me to install updates, and the Safari extension shows up in the list, but I can't find it anywhere. The app says it's disabled.
I tried to uninstall the app from my laptop so I could reinstall it or change the app for something else, but the app is locked - not by me, and I can't get it to uninstall. I've gone to 'get info', and the lock button is disabled too.
Help!
Any ideas? It's really starting to annoy me now!
Thanks for any help you can give me!
Fliss

Thank you, I did look, but nothing came up! The online chat help tried using terminal but that didn’t work. I came here as I always find my answers here eventually!
Thanks again!

This may sound unintuitive, but has worked for me recently (albeit with different software - LG Monitor Control), but reinstall Kaspersky Internet Security, run it, and restart the Mac, after you reinstall, and after you have run and used it.
Then using the uninstaller, which you can download on the support page linked, uninstall it.
I think this works, as all the files are where the uninstaller is looking for them.

Do you have a Time Machine backup just prior to the installation of Kapersky? If you are still stuck, I would try that method. If not, I would try using the app 'appcleaner' to uninstall the program. It usually does an excellent job.

Do come back and let us know how you got on, as it helps others with their troubleshooting, particularly knowing what was successful.
All sorted thank you!
The app is still very buggy, so once the subscription runs out I’m going to switch.
Any thoughts on the best one to go for?
