    Hide Mail sidebar progress indicator?

    Is there a way to hide the progress indicator that appears/disappears at the bottom of the Mail sidebar? Have mail check set to "Automatically", and the progress indicator randomly zips in/out even if there's no mail. I keep Mail open in the background and this is very distracting and annoying.
