Most new members come here to have an issue resolved. They didn't come here to watch us fight amongst ourselves or try to one-up each other. If we don't have something productive to say as far as resolving the issue, then it is best to remain silent. The pointless arguing is doing nothing more than wasting everyone's time. Please stick to goal at hand, which is resolving an issue for a new Mac user. We all want new Mac users to see us as intelligent and reliable, right?

Adobe designs for Windows primarily, OSX is often an afterthought. The most recent example is Photshop's lack of and slow support for retina displays.

That's incorrect. Adobe Photoshop on Mac has supported retina displays far longer than the PC version which only in more recent CC update, exited 'beta / lab' high resolution support and supported it without having to go into settings and enable it.

Likewise Premier Pro etc.. is available on Mac.

2014 vs 2015 - it does not appear Adobe added support for Retina before Windows equivalents.
