Since I made my last post in this thread, I've found the SongShift application for iOS that lets me import Spotify playlists to Apple Music, so I get the best of both worlds. I paid the £35 or however much it is for the lifetime pro version of SongShift.

The main reason Audio Quality. I did back to back listening comparisons between both. Apple Music hands down always sounded better. No matter what track I played. Then UI layout. Ease of navigation. Ease organization. Apple Music just seems more fluid and intuitive.

I was offered a 6 month free trial with a recent purchase. Having tried it, I like the interface and the integration with Siri. Also the automatic synchronisation of playlists and such across my devices.

Every so often I go back to spotify but it just isn't the same as Apple Music in terms of usibility, being able to track various stats like play count and just ease. I wish Apple Music's playlists were better, but Spotify just isn't as organized, and I like the integration of local files, for which I have a few.

Sound quality. Apple having access to better masters is pretty much the reason Apple Music sounds way better than Spotify. Apple's AAC 256 blows Spotify's Ogg Vorbis 320 out of the water. The fact that Apple gives you lossless and hi-res lossless as a free bonus is just the icing on the cake.

Because I have Apple One. I also have Spotify (on a cheap 6 month deal) as my sister and her partner live in London and we like to share Spotify playlists. Not something you can do on Apple Music (as far as I'm aware?)
