Why didn't Apple TV get a GM for iOS 5?

I am curious if anyone knows if there are going to be any new features for the ATV2 because of iOS5 (or software version 4.4)? In particular, will it finally be able to stream content off from a NAS drive, or a drive connected directly to a AEBS?

I just wanna use Airplay Mirroring with my iPad 2. i don't wanna wait 8 days for the official release.

You can do that with the last Appletv beta release (4.3?) however you'll need a micro USB lead to update it with iTunes.

Can't remember where to get it though but AirPlay mirroring works fine on it.
