Resolved Why didn't my MBP shut down (high temps)?

I'm sorry I missed this!

First, great job re-applying the thermal paste yourself. :)

Secondly, the temps you are seeing now are correct.

Optimally, your MBP will run ~90C under full load. Up to 95C is still within Apple's parameters. Over 95C - you have problems!
