I’m kind of in a position where I

*LOVE*

my iPhone X. Like this is my joy right here.

And after seeing how the selfies are with the XS, I cherish this selfie camera like you don’t even know.

So one side I’m like, I’m keeping this thing forever.

On the other hand, is Apple radically changes up its design I don’t what I’d do then. I might feel pressured to upgrade.

Or if this thing becomes slow ugh.

What you love and your WHOLE life is revolving around now will change when you grow up and have a family or just meet a girl! It is just a phone and if you are not sleeping because of a lack of RAM, you need to get another hobby.

I love my iPhone X, but what keeps me up at night is only having 3GB of RAM. I worry that it will slow down in time and wish I had 4GB RAM.

But my question is, if you’ve got laptops out there doing all right with 4GB RAM, why would an iPhone that does very little intensive work need so much RAM?

If all you do is Safari, YouTube, Snapchat, Insta, notes, and so on, what is the need for so much RAM?

Thanks

This is probably a large part of the reason why they don't need so much RAM. The 2018 (non-pro) iPad has just 2GB and performs just fine. iPhones as recent as last year's iPhone 8 (non-Plus) have just 2 GB. Until last fall I was using an iPhone 6 with 1GB, and it never bothered me. iOS is not a demanding operating system, at least not on hardware that is optimized specifically for running it.
