At the time I sold my iPad 1, back in April of this year, it was only two years old and was definitely not the same as when new: it crashed regularly and stuttered often in operation.

Now I could have, if I managed to save SSH blobs or whatever, restored to its initial iOS version (3.2 IIRC). But then I would not be able to run many apps, since they usually require a newer iOS version.

That was about my shortest "mostly usable" life-cycle for an Apple product. I won't forget it.

You'll be surprised how much the "tech world" already caters to older stuff. Most just don't realize it.

BTW..... even a cake has an expiration date.

Way flawed comparison...

1. A tech device is not a food item
2. Said tech device has no expiration date printed on the outside. There is no sign that says "You will only get one or two decent years out of this $600 item"
3. A tech device cost significantly more than a cake.

My iOS devices did the same thing. Performance changes as time goes on. Newer software running on older hardware is gonna slow things down a little

It is more evident on the Android phones because of how poor the OS is designed. It reminds me of how Windows PC's slowed down very quickly after a few months of ownership while Mac's stay relatively linear.

Do you have any evidence to back up your claims?

I have experience which is better than proof. I try out every new Android phone for at least 2-3 weeks.

My 2009 Macbook Pro disagrees with you. I have to format/restore once a year if I want to keep my hair on my head.

 And I have the iPhone 6 in my hands.

LOL, sure. Im still using my PC ive had for at least 5 years(may be longer, im not really sure) that is running Windows Vista. Still runs good even if it has a slight lag at times but that could be just im used to my GS3 and Macbook being fast that i notice that.

To say they slow down after a few months is just a joke. And i call BS that you try out EVERY Android phone for two weeks.

Thanks for making my point.
Windows PC's lag a lot more in general after you load your own stuff on it. The same happens with Android. It isn't optimized properly to handle all of the apps and programs.

It will look shiny and new the first day and work fast but it bogs down.

I buy them from Costco full retail and return them.

Don't matter, if you really did try all of them for 2-3 weeks, you'd be having more than 5-10 at a time.

Whats your impression? A photo would be nice.

I agree, a photo of the DNA displaying this page, would be nice to see what 1080p looks like on a screenshot.

Then you previously lied, I thought you were trying ALL Android phones.

No need to get personal here.
" I try out every new Android phone for at least 2-3 weeks."

Please read carefully to avoid looking foolish.

I find the slowing and bogging down is more frequent with skinned Android OS's like TouchWiz and Sense. Sense is really heavy and it shows moments of stuttering a lot.

Umh... yes I did read right, you did that you try out ALL new android phones for at least 2-3 weeks.

That would technically mean you are currently testing:

HTC DNA
HTC One X+
Samsung Galaxy Note II
LG Optimus G
Nexus 4

And many more that are less popular.

Edit: Found some more:

Motorola RAZR HD
Sony Experia T

That's a lot of phones you are testing for 2-3 weeks

Yes all of them.

Now is the time you take a picture for proof!

I'm sorry but you're the one looking foolish saying TouchWiz is lagging, you clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Somewhere in the world
Those phones are quite fast and given 2-3 weeks to test the device they should hold up unless you have been unlucky and trying out all the defective devices instead

You only keep them for 2-3 weeks and they start slowing down in that amount of time? I find that hard to believe. Anyways, your "experience" doesn't give you credentials to talk about how an OS is designed.
