I acknowledged, and elaborated on, the speeds of PCIe lanes in my very first post. I also pointed out that, aside from peak throughput on high-end graphics cards, no home user needs speeds faster than TB3. So again, what is your point?

Given no MP utilizes TB3 I fail to see what you're trying to accomplish here.
I was addressing the OP, which is about TB3, not the MP. This is a thread about TB3. I've been trying to discuss TB3. Thanks.

It was clear, from this sentence in your response, that you were not merely addressing the OPs question but the reason someone had given for their "hate" of TB:

I'm not aware of any current Apple product line that used to include PCIe slots that now has TB3 instead.
But you're just being pedantic. The answer is, for the users of this forum, no one (at least not that I've seen) hates TB (any version). What they "hate" is how Apple has decided to replace PCIe with it.

So why do you have to be so difficult?

Yeah, it does look like I wasn't as clear as I wanted to be. Sorry about that. And I agree, in regards to people's feelings about TB3 vs. PCIe. My bad.
