I like the hardware and their OS, and some of their desktop software. Their laptops are overpriced IMO, but still very good quality.

However, I do not like Apple acting like power hungry control freak or the moral police. Its mobile platform sucks, IMO - yes, it may bring in $$$$ but I don't care.

I want to choose what SIM card I put in my phone, and what Apps I choose to install. I certainly want to install my own applications on my own device without having to pay Apple.

Why not put in the work and search the forum? This question has been asked many times a variety of ways.

To answer your question specifically, I'm not loyal to any company/brand. I'm loyal to what I want, be it tech or whatever. If Apple can't give me what I want, I'll go with another brand that can.

I like my Macs and my iPods but currently I am not interested in the iPhone Operating System and the products that come with that. They simply don't suit what I want in tech. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hi!
You seem to be a regular on this site, which make me even more interested in your opinion. Could you tell me a little bit why you like to interact with people this way? Why did you start writing on this site and what do you feel that it has given you? What do you think of the whole community world?
I anybody else feel like answering this I will be more than happy!

I like Apple and their products because:

The products are the best I've found. The hardware is outstanding, the software equally so. I've come from the PC world where if you wanted something decent, you had to assemble it yourself. I literally could not build a machine superior to my Mac Pro for the money and it would be stuck with a vastly inferior OS.

I like Apple as a company because:

They appear to TRUST their customers! For instance: Apple's OSX doesn't have a complicated "Activation" scheme or even a Serial Number! What's to prevent me from passing out my OSX, iLife, iWork, etc.. discs to all of my Mac-owning friends? The Honor system.
Even Final Cut Pro only appears to have a Serial number. This is unheard of in the paranoid world of PC.
Now there may well be clever, transparent Activation going on but it's never harassed me, the paying customer.
Unlike Adobe's or Microsoft's Activation schemes where after paying big bucks for their software you have to beg for a re-activation should you foul up a RAID array.

Apple provides these outstanding computers, softwares and devices at fair prices. Unlike many, I do not expect miraculously low prices for high-quality products. The R&D, manufacturing and support costs are the largest part of the price. For making the best products, I don't mind paying them a nice profit as well.

So let's see.... Company "A" provides outstanding products at fair prices while companies "D", "H" and "M" (amongst others) provide vastly inferior products for not much less? Or sometimes much more?

Apples Please! :D:apple:;):)
