''I do care a lot what products someone else uses as it makes me feel more empowered with my own opinion validating my own purchase'' <- This is what's happening on this thread.
In the end of the day it's just gadgets we use daily as tools and nothing else. Who cares what kind of toothpaste brand one likes. People should think more about that before defending any specific brand or product.
Yea, that's what I have noticed as well. Many who prefer Android can't seem to accept that certain specs, features, or customization isn't all that critical to some in a platform. On the other end, iOS users seem to prefer simplicity, less tinkering, better security/privacy, and consistency. Neither choice is wrong so the constant back and forth never made much sense to me. It comes down to personal value.

Agree with everything you said. The unfortunate part is folks feel (for whatever reason) like they are being personally attacked because another person chooses to use whatever device/platform they aren't using. It's dumb and it's, unfortunately, human nature.
Yup, definitely agree here. It's unfortunate because it's not everyone on here. I disagree with people on this site all the time (which is okay), but I try to at least keep it to a civil conversation. It's not that serious to get upset over, but I get that feeling of having to defend yourself. I've definitely been there and have antagonized people in some ways as well. I've been working to change that.
