You have to look at the bigger picture before you make a claim like that. Look at the total numbers of iPhones sold in any given year and you understand that some imperfection from the manufacture process will pop-up. This happens in any industry. However, if you come to a forum such as this you’ll think that there is such a widespread problem you will then make an error that many more issues are prevalent than they really are.

You had some bad luck, but for me and many others we have never had a problem with the Apple products.

PS: Then there is that post that you made about a spider on your screen that may have caused a scratch. Believe me that was an eye-opener for many of us on this forum.

I think being DOA would be oe ting, but also problems which crop up as well later..

eg. the number of "programs" Apple has for eligible returns due to some issue... There is a program for just about everything, except the iMac.

Quality Control also includes this as well. even if only some models are affected, It doesn't matter, its still QA. While nothing can ever be perfect neither, Apple is also not learning its lesson by it.

Apple has the best quality control in the industry. Bar none.

I've had numerous iPods, iPhones, iPads, 2 watches 2 routers and 3 Macs. I had an issue with only two products--none of which were right out of the box. An iPad had a display go bad. A quick call to Apple, they recommended I take it into the store where I was given a brand new one after showing them the issue. Same with an AirPort Time Capsule. Call to support, troubleshooting, sent me to the Apple store, product replaced.

I've seen this with other forums, like automobiles or technology in general but people tend to gravitate to them when they have problems with their products. For every issue consumers have with the item in question, there are many, many more that experience no issues at all.

Manufacturing is not perfect. Not everything in life is perfect, mistakes happen. What's important to me is how a company handles the mistake that makes all the difference in the world.

Meanwhile my daily 2019 MBP looks new (aside from dust) and works flawlessly despite being on 24/7...
it was the 2017 -> 2019 MB's that had the bad keyboard
Apple had to do something; they lost a few class action law suites
Satruday Night Live was making fun of them
Apple let go of their head of engineering

nice to know the 2019 is golden

2016+ had the bad keyboard: it’s why I brought a 2015 in 2016 and haven’t regretted that.

That’s not bad QC though - that’s a bad design that Apple screwed up and introduced.

Nope. Every Apple product Ive ever brought has come out of the box looking shiny and new. Never had this problem.
