Why does this happen?

I’ve noticed something odd recently when I’m on a Facebook page in Safari on my iPhone. When I enable show all windows in Safari, the window for Facebook has an icon on the top bar for a store I’ve made purchases from recently, in place of where the blue F icon usually is (I think it’s called a favicon but I could be wrong). For a while I was seeing a lot of ads within FB for this store ( it’s a furniture store, and since a recent home purchase I’ve bought a lot of stuff from them).
I purged the FB app several iPhones ago, so I only interact with it through a browser (mostly Safari).
Any ideas what’s going on here?
Thanks!
