So Apple updated their supplier responsibility website. I noticed on the supplier page Watch isn't listed anywhere. Perhaps that's because this list is 2014 only? But then I'd be curious to know where the 3,000 or so Watches Apple employees are using were assembled. Does Apple's design shop in Cupertino have the capacity to produce that many Watches? Or does Apple not disclose suppliers for products not officially on sale?

The :apple:Watch hasn't even been officially released and the website still has the disclaimer "This device has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained." Why are you jumping the gun on suppliers related to the Watch?

I was just curious since it wasn't listed on Apple's website. But I guess if something isn't officially for sale yet Apple doesn't have to disclose where it was manufactured. I'd still love to know where the 3,000 employee watches were assembled.

Reading through the Apple car rumors and hearing that Apple employees are allegedly meeting with contract designers in Europe that manufacture high-end cars got me thinking again about how Apple might be manufacturing some of the higher-end Watches. I still have this feeling that some of the high-end Watches may be assembled outside of China. There's a very little about this product that is typical Apple so to assume it's all going to come from China just like iPhones do is folly imo.

Let's be honest.

How many people would actually care?

0.0001% ?

If it's by Apple, it looks great, it works great, it's priced at a level that you can afford, hardly anyone will give a stuff where it's made, or even bother to look/find out.
