How is it better? It costs $4.99 and Shazam is free. Also Shazam has never failed to correctly identify a song when I've used it.
same, I have used Shazam everywhere, it's great.

I too prefer Midomi. But then again, I got it back when it was free/really cheap (can't remember which).
It used to be free, I didn't actually realize it cost money until reading this thread. They must have started charging for it after the last big update or something.
If I got it when it was free... can I re-download for free? I haven't used it in forever. I ditched it for Shazam because it's so much simpler.
If you've already purchased it on your account you should be able to re-download it for free, yes.

Ditto.
While Shazam doesn't have a 100% track record for me, it's come through roughly 85% of the time, and that's good enough for me.

2. Midomi is a far better app for identifying music.
I think Apple should buy Facebook. It'd make more sense.
If Apple bought Facebook...
- Apps would cost at least 59p
- Almost every free app will be a stupid "lite" version of a paid one
- There would be a maximum of 11 friends on your list
- It would cost £30 a year to be a member
- It'd look a lot nicer, and have a bunch of flashy features, but would be crap for actually talking to people
- Despite being very high-tech and cutting edge, Apple will stop the new Facebook from displaying pictures to friends for a few years
- Videos and music would only be able to come from iTunes
- It would keep going down soon after Apple takes over
- Some members will have to pay £5 everytime new features are added
- Copy and paste would refuse to work for a few years too
- Half of all Facebook apps will then be removed because they compete with Facebook's own serives
- Can't be bothered to think of anymore now
