Why I decided to get an iMac instead of a Mac Mini

Size and refresh rate are not important to everyone. Many of us do not play games.

Doesn't change the fact that the display on the 24" iMac is indeed NOT the best monitor on the market... This is the equivalent of saying the display on the iPhone 15/Plus is better than the 15 Pro/Max, solely because you personally don't care about 120Hz. It's just not true. The contrast ratio also leaves quite a bit to be desired in a world of higher contrast and mini/OLED displays.

A new car ... driving it off the lot ... is the biggest loser for me. My new iMac is trivial.

My silver iMac got delivered on the 21st but I didn’t get to unbox it until the 25th. I absolutely love it! I have no regrets just as I suspected I’m not really missing the extra 3”. That’s not to say I don’t want 27” I just don’t need 27”.

This thing is so fast. I combine five video files into one five days a week. I used to take iMovie an hour or longer. Now the time is down to 25min.

My old iMac is still on my desk so I don’t have my complete experience with this new machine. But so far it’s awesome!
