I have an android tablet.

My main reason over an ipad is usb support.

ipad has the camera kit.

my android has an OTG cable now I can use keyboard/mouse/pen drive/HDD/etc
also android supports mhl (most phones) so have HDMI output with an adaptor, which I have and use.

I have used ipads and find them generally fast than my samsung tablet.
Apple have their own sizes and not follow everyone else, but I prefer the 7 or 10 size personally.

Bit of a weird reason to switch, for me, the file system access is key, I use it like a proper Computer, no cloud rubbish, I want to see a file in a folder and move in where I want. I do like the install things outside of the app store as well.
I won't mention class leading hardware, screen quality, camera quality, battery life, video quality etc as they are a given.

I'm happy with my iPads and am not likely to switch. But I enjoy reading other opinions of people who've switched and why, and would rather not see them called trolls just for giving their opinions. Of course it's fair enough to point out other solutions to their problems they may have missed.

Android tablets are not taken seriously by hardware makers. They do not have the best hardware. Show me a tab with the hardware of an iPad Air 2 in terms of SoC, battery life, video quality, etc. So far, we have companies using phone chips, not ones designed for tablets, in their tablets. And they don't even use current gen most of the time. I do like Pixel C, but that's the outlier.

Very true. This is why my phone is an Android Phablet and Tablet is an iPad, I carry my phone everywhere and I am on it far more than my tablet. If I used my tablet as much as I use my phone, the tablet would have had to be Android.

File System Access is indeed key.

Sounds about right but it's only 2 of about 100 reasons. It's also one of my pet peeves with onscreen keyboards that don't show lower and upper case keys depending on shift/caps lock and without number row for easily inputting complex passwords. That's why I wanted to throw the old iOS keyboard at the wall that would only show upper case keys before they fixed it and also allowed 3rd party keyboards. Another thing taken for granted is native writing to text transcription that Android devices have had since about five years ago that's still lacking in iOS on iPod Pro 9.7" and 12" in 2016. Positive news is iOS 10 is closing the gap to Android from years ago.

There's a script to text "keyboard" for the iPP called MyScript which works remarkably well. I know Samsung had something similar on their Note devices a few years ago, but better late than never.

Z3 Compact Tablet has better battery life than iPad, thinner, waterproof, micro SD slot which is good for copying movies
I have an iPhone and love iOS but there is no way i put money for an iPad, i mean its too expensive regarding iPad price range while you could get those high premium android tablet for much less.
iPad isnt far better than Z3 Compact Tablet, in fact, the GSM Arena shows it has better battery life
I really dont care about using eco-system, i am not married to Apple.
And why i am still sticking to Android for tablet: 16:9 (for multimedia purpose)
The problem with Apple hardcore fan, they think there is no alternative at all: its wrong
I know myself there is better smartphone than iPhone but i still sticking with iPhone.

I consider tablet as inferior priority, i dont need to spend thousand dollars, just want to watch some movies on bigger screen than my smartphone, nothing more
Why iPad global sales are falling down? Because nobody needs to have such high premium tablet
People still consider tablet as secondary mobile screen, it does not replace a computer/laptop, it does not replace a smartphone either
So you wont have to get the best at expensive price

Yes i know, myself, i m planning to buy a tablet as well but i explain why android tablets would worth it despite of common bias as inferior tablets, if you want high premium android tablet, it does exist ;)

What architecture cpu does the iPad pro use, and what architecture cpu does the exynos Note 4 use?
They both use Arm V8, they both use processors who's history goes back to 2011 for V8 and back to the 80's (archimedes) for the entire Arm risc family.
Apple, like Samsung, modified thier specific cpu but they're still in the same category, I can't seem to differentiate between the whole family of arm V8.
How are you differentiating between phone and tablet processors?

How are you differentiating between phone and tablet processors?

One is designed for use specially with a tablet, the other is designed for phones.

Yeah I've read that too, that it's something on Apple's side that makes it impossible for the Swype team to get it working properly on iOS right now.
That "something" is Apple's refusal to allow SWYPE to compete on level ground.

In order not to be embarrassed by SWYPE superiority, Apple has deliberately failed to allow SWYPE into the App Store until it was several years old. Frankly I'm surprised that Apple changed their mind, eventually letting them in.

Or, you know, until they actually had a framework and the plan to open up iOS to third party keyboards and widgets and so forth. But that's just a bit too realistic and straightforward of a reasoning to be appealing.

Appreciate the tip but it looks like MyScript is missing essentials like palm rejection.
