The multi tab is one thing I really dont like in Safari on iPhone. Biggest reason is it doesnt show how many tabs you have open, at least that I can see. I have 4 tabs open here, where is the indicator telling me? Poor design.

I won't know until I find a good friend with a nexus :) I still think the real problem with android is the apps, android lacks unified guudelines and it doesn't let developers build fun apps like on ios. On android Facebook app you can't even swipe to reveal chat, that's just terrible experience. Now on ios 7 you can swipe back from most apps, that really improved my experience with the phone.

Not sure what app or what version of the app you were looking at. I can swipe to reveal chat.

Android has a back button.

Android apps do have guidelines, but they are not a requirement. It does lead to inconsistent experiences across apps, particularly when the developer clearly followed iOS guidelines more so than any Android guidelines. Makes for a poor experience when the app behaves like an iOS app when you expect it to behave like an Android app.

Why is that necessary?

Because if I put my phone down and move on to something else and come back to it later, I may forget I have a ton of tabs open in my browser. That can create multiple problems. How hard would it have been to put a number badge on the icon showing how many tabs you have? They do it for everything else. Again, just poor design.

I like to be able to see at a glance if I have a bunch of web pages open in tabs from my last browsing session, so I can avoid opening multiple tabs for the same page and get the browser all cluttered up.

Sounds like trying to solve a problem that isn't there in the first place.

Lol seriously? asking for a number indicator is just too much?

Maybe you're so used to the lag you don't notice it. >_>

Or maybe you installed so much junk / garbage / always running / wakelocking apps that the device chokes. Certain users can't handle android

Nope, even after wiping my Nexus 7 multiple times, the lag was there after installing basic apps and games. Waking up the tablet and turning it to landscape takes a while sometimes. When apps update automatically there's more lag. Lag all around. Oh well. It pretty much sits in a drawer now.

yes because ppl want more badges on their phone. You want to create a problem for everyone else for your small little problem.

Every browser I have ever seen except Safari in iOS tells you how many tabs you have open if you cant see them all lined up. Stop acting like its such an odd thing to have

My only knock on Android is the lack of apps in the photo department, as that is my hobby as a semi-pro.

Of course I research a bunch of apps, and they all said the Android versions are coming soon. This was back in late May when I bought my S4 to switch to Android. So here I am, almost 6 months later, still waiting.

I'm waiting on:

1) VSCO Cam (photoapp, currently still in Beta)
2) Day One (journaling)
3) 1Pasword (password management - using LastPass in the meantime which needs better UI).
4) Everpix (uploader available, full-fledged app in the works).

I do miss Hipstamatic though, but that's not coming to Android anytime soon. Like I said it's been 6 months, and I look forward to these apps hitting Android. I guess making an app for Android is hard to do.

I found a replacement for Day One that pretty good.
