I find most iOS apps I buy to be under-priced. As a software developer I feel guilty about buying apps for 99cents or $2. Especially when they are from indie-developers.

Not sure if Apple's ToS allow for this, but whenever I use free software (Windows), I always check the dev's website to see if he has a PayPal link set up. If not, I'll ask the dev if he has a donation page/system set up. I gotten so much use out of some software programs that I've donated $5 to $30 to some of them.

As a bonus, if it is allowed, they get the full amount... Apple won't take a 30% cut there :)

UNHOLY THREAD RESSURECTION

The thread was RIP ... Until some unholy resurrectionist (aka Newbie) decided to dig it out of the proverbial ground.

Remember folks to check the last post date on a thread before you pull it out of its grave ...

Especially if your resurrecting it just to post the intricate and well considered and constructed comment 'Bahahahaha'

;)

Is this against MacRumors ToS or rules? I figured if it was that big a deal, they should automatically close the topic.

It beats starting a new thread called Why iOS apps are more expensive than Android apps? (take 2)

off topic... i dont understand why you should start a new topic if there is already a similar thread. it is even user-friendlier than starting a new topic. when i search i like to find only couple of topics rather than many..

It's more a case of revising an old thread merely to post a barrage of superfluous vacuous trash as the poster did that is the issue at hand. Why did they bother ?

Hello, just switched from Android device to iPhone. I noticed that apps I found in App Store are more expensive than apps in Play Store. How come?

Talking about apps that are of daily-utility (eg. messengers, news apps, magazines) or more frequent use, none beats android. However, I do not think that holds entirely true for high-end games.1. There may be a question of the number of android apps available, but if you look carefully, andriod fulfills one's needs without hurting one's pocket, in comparison to ios at least.2. In app-purchases: I just hate the idea of in-app purchases. It just spoils the purpose. In ios, so many apps need in-app purchases. This said, however, andriod has unfortunately taken this cue from ios and started in-app purchases recently in many apps.

Hell, you could google the apk for any paid Android app and install it on your less than a minute; w/o jailbreaking your iPhone, that won't be possible.

I do agree that the iOS apps looks MUCH better than Androids, though. Some of Android's app look like they were made for Gingerbread, lol.

So you're advocating stealing an app? It's amazing the justification that Android users use to criticize an iPhone's jailbreaking. Totally amazing.

I wouldnt install any free paid apps, and it doesnt matter whether im using android or jb iphone. There is no free meal... Neither would do it on my mac/win...
