I am human... sinful and fallible, only here by God's mercy and love - also an idiot - how about you? :)

Okay - "idiots" is a bit of an umbrella statement - please ignore that outburst, I'll go back and take that out :)

----------

Yep, apps ARE important, but when it comes to the realms of MILLIONS of apps, no sane person could ever need OR want even a tiny fraction of that number - 100,000 crappy apps are still 100,000 crappy apps - when all you want is 10-50 high quality apps. Do you think about the 999,990 apps you DON'T want or use, or the 10 you DO use? :)

Quality, not quantity.

I have 4 apps that I use on my cell every day and they are not on windows phone.

Torque obd2 data logger for my car using a blue tooth dongle.

Google music that I pay monthly for all my music.

Instantgram and snap chat

I only have about 10 apps on my phone and more then half of them are not on windows platform

Ohh one huge one that I use all the time.

Google maps!!!! Even apple tried to use there own GPS app and failed miserably and went back to Google maps

Then your use case is obviously better suited to not use Windows Phone (sorry to sound like Captain Obvious :p)

So you go back and edit your posts after you're called on your crap? Doesn't really help your credibility or gravitas in the discussion you were so eager to have. Too late. You're quoted, on the record! Google are idiots, says Moto G!

For the record, it took a talented set of individuals who are anything but idiots to engineer and put together the Win Phones. Absolutely. Too bad the real idiots came before them and spoiled the brand -- which is the crux of the problem for WinPhone and far more relevant to your original question.

So you're not satisfied that I admit my fault, publicly, and go back and edit something which I said in a rash moment? Ah... thankfully I try to live my life according to what God wants, not according to what a stranger online thinks of me. I don't live or die according to the opinion or percived "credibility" of my fellow man - whatever you (or the entire population) thinks of me, is largely irrelevant to my moral compass - I don't need your validation or approval, I am a son of God :) as you are.

You're just trying to cause an argument - do it again... and again... knock yourself out, because you're the only one who needs validation of your views. Ironically, you have just done EXACTLY what you tried to call me out on... and called a group of people you don't know, "idiots". Do you have the humility to admit that you've been a hypocrite? Possibly... but I bet you won't. ;)

God and an online stranger have much in common... both a pie in the sky.

Friend, even a fool appears wise when he remains silent. You have a lovely weekend, I am off to sleep now - I'm going to remind myself not to return to this topic again, for the need of retaining clarity of mind and sanity.

Take care. :)

That, and the Devil lurks here.

Enjoy that WinPhone!

What good is the camera on the lumina when you don't even have instantgram to post pics lol

That's exactly the problem with Windows Phone.

What good is this cool OS and phone (Icon, M8), if you are limited to what you can do by the lack of apps.

So the ONLY purpose for photos taken on a mobile device, is to post them to Instagram? That's like assuming that the only place to type things is Twitter. Okay - many people use Instagram, but that's you - not every single owner of a Windows Phone device (unless, oddly, you happen to know each Lumia owner personally, and their app preferences ;))

I can't remember the last time (or the first) I felt the need to post piffling, irrelevant photos of the minutae of life, to the world via photographic medium, replete with pretentious "look! I'm in the 1970s" filter applied. I'm sure some people love that, but there are other uses for photos... life isn't meaningless without some app which certain people tend to adore.

You seem to be begging to be reported for antagonistic behaviour... keep going...

Funny... I find your off-topic injection of religion into a cell phone discussion to be quite antagonistic, not to mention passive-agressive. My comments are centered around your original topic: "I am just wondering why Lumia love and WinPhones seem to be barely mentioned?" You appear to be the antagonistic one inserting god into the discussion... wonder what the lord prefers? Does god use a WinPhone?

Don't talk to me any more - you dislike my views or my faith? Fine, your life is your choice. For the sake of peace and good will, I am unwilling to communicate with you further. Funny - God "offends" you... that says a lot about you, and your attitude toward life. Why would you take objection to God's name, when he gave you life and ALL you have? I don't expect you to understand this, but for your sake as well as mine, ALL communication with you is now done with.

Take care - you could be nice if you tried a little.

I don't have a problem with your faith.

I have a problem with how your faith relates (or doesn't relate) to Windows Phone and why WinPhone isn't typically offered as an alternative to iOS on these forums. I have a problem with you injecting your "faith" into the discussion when you found yourself on the unfavorable end of the discussion.

Don't talk to me any more.

You don't get to tell me, or others, how to respond to your post on a (mostly) public discussion forum.

Instagram isn't the only thing I do, but it is part of what I do. While it is just an example, there is no denying that the Windows Phone experience is greatly hampered by the weaker app support. The is a real void in Google services, and for a big user of Google Music and Google Docs this would be a big deal.

While I wish that wasn't the case, at this time, it is what it is.

While it is true, many first party apps are missing on
WP, I have found an alternative to nearly every one. Some are better than the first party apps too. There are even some good 3rd party Google apps on there, but I and many others would prefer Google and Microsoft to kiss and make up. Imagine how much better an experience WP8.1 could be with Google officially supported apps? But that is a pipe dream.

Ironically, I have found some apps that are only on WP and better than anything on my iPhone or Nexus. Having the Live Tile updates really takes the cake too.

IMHO, Android is a fragmented, inconsistent mess - mass share doesn't make it a better experience or a more refined platform,

i have heard this so many times, but again... if android is so fragmented, that it is always need to be mentioned, what kind of issues, problem, does it?

we have... hmm... 6 differend (in use) android devices at home. All runs 4.x OS. I dont see much differences between them. Same apps, games what so ever.. Well, some smart accessory apps doesnt work under 4.3, but im not sure would those features work at all (possible lack of hardware). But what im saying, many apps work from gingerbread to lollipop. So what is the problem?

How much fragmented (from wikipedia)?

Android (operating system) usage fragmentation as of 30 Aug 2014.

GingerBread 2.3.3 (0.24%)
Gingerbread 2.3.4 (0.56%)
Gingerbread 2.3.5 (0.55%)
Gingerbread 2.3.6 (2.41%)
Gingerbread 2.3.7 (0.21%)
Ice Cream Sandwitch 4.0.3 (2.13%)
Ice Cream Sandwitch 4.0.4 (5.34%)
Jelly Bean 4.1.1 (3.21%)
Jelly Bean 4.1.2 (18.96%)
Jelly Bean 4.2.1 (1.33%)
Jelly Bean 4.2.2 (16.22%)
Jelly Bean 4.3 (10.21%)
Kitkat 4.4.2 (32.01%)
Kitkat 4.4.3 (0.71%)
Kitkat 4.4.4 (5.06%)
Other (0.85000000000002%)

Basicly every android device run 4.x.

iOS (not iOS 8.x included)
IOS usage fragmentation as of 30 Aug 2014.

iOS 5.1.1 (0.95%)
iOS 6.0.1 (0.41%)
iOS 6.1 (0.27%)
iOS 6.1.2 (0.38%)
iOS 6.1.3 (1.89%)
iOS 6.1.4 (0.35%)
iOS 6.1.6 (1.64%)
iOS 7.0 (1.19%)
iOS 7.02 (1.29%)
iOS 7.0.3 (1.40%)
iOS 7.0.4 (6.40%)
iOS 7.0.6 (2.53%)
iOS 7.1 (6.18%)
iOS 7.1.1 (15.43%)
iOS 7.1.2 (58.81%)
Other (0.88%)

Fragmentation may looks bad when watching only numbers of rows. But then again, if you watch numbers more closely, android isnt so fragmented.

offtopic. this is a tech forum, not a religious forum. you have a freedom to believe, let me (and others) enjoy the same freedom being atheist. /offtopic
