Why is my fedex tracking not working?

I am going through the exact same thing now. Ordered the 2-3 day shipping (which is really best to do at the beginning of the week).

Anyway it is due today, but the tracking page hasn't been updated since Friday. Early friday it said there were dalays beyond their control, so I got worried it wouldn't arrive until after the est. date, but it seemed to have made it all the way to NJ by late Friday. I am in MA so hopefully it gets here today *crosses fingers*.
 
My iMac was showing Reno for several days as well, but it arrived exactly when scheduled.

My friend who used to work for UPS said that there is a lot of train shipping that comes out of Reno. I just assumed it was loaded on a train and then never scanned again until it reached it's next destination. All these other examples of this happening only further supports this theory.
 
well this sucks.. ordered on the 7th.. apple said it would be here by the 15th or 16th.. called fedex and they said it wont be delivered till the 22nd.. fedex ground sucks!! 2 weeks in transit!! wtf
 
When you guys call Fedex are you talking to a live person or is it it the automated service that is telling you when your package will arrive?
 
Unfortunatly, when you get "free" shipping from apple, it gets the "ground" treatment. Slow, non trackable and they dont deliver on Mondays (at least in my area). On the upside, they deliver on saturdays, but thats a crapshoot.

I'll never do the "free shipping" on an apple product again. Paying to get your Mac a week earlier is well worth the 20 or so bucks.

They also lost one of my wireless keyboards. That took a total of 5 weeks to finally get.

Mine just arrived! w00t!

Ordered on the 14th. Arrived on the 19th by 1:40 PM EST w/ 2-3 day shipping.

I've already received my iMac, but...

I ordered mine on the 2nd with the free shipping option. It was supposed to be delivered on 10th. Then there was a "delivery exception" (according to the FedEx website), so it was rescheduled for 13th (since FedEx "home" service doesn't deliver on Mondays).

I called Apple on the 10th and said, "I didn't expect it to take this long. If I had known this, I would have just paid extra for the faster shipping or bought a stock model from the store." They immediately offered me a $50 credit.

So if FedEx is jerking you around, call Apple. At the very least, they might stop using FedEx. I've never had a good experience with FedEx. Constant delivery delays. One time, they didn't even ring the bell and just left a package in front of my back door, in my yard! I only knew because I heard the truck driving up, then confusedly saw it driving away, and then thought to check the tracking on FedEx website.

I will definitely do this. Tracking has been stuck since Thursday and the expected date was Saturday. When I talked to someone at Fedex they said it "should" be coming tomorrow. Boo Fedex.
 
i definitely would have paid extra for the shipping if i knew it was going to arrive a week after its estimated delivery date.. fedex ground - never again :mad:
 
Ive gotten a few things shipped ground before and never had any problem. Ordered an iMac on March 4th, it was delievered on March 8 (a saturday). The tracking didnt update at all along the way, which I expected, but the delivery date on the tracking page said "expected delivery March 8."

I also ordered a Macbook that same day, but had it shipped to a different location. It arrived a day before, on March 7.

Fed Ex in general is actually fine. Just dont get free or "ground" shipping. That sucks. Regular and overnight and they're pretty quick and very trackable.



Sad but........UPS for me, is WAAaayy worse!
 
Well it finally came. I can honestly say that I was never as excited to use a piece of technology as I was when that first welcome video started. This machine is beautiful.
 
My package says its "Estimate Delivery Date" is today, but it's still stuck at it's last scan in Salt Lake City, Utah? If it hasn't been scanned at my local distro point today, am I likely not getting it today?
 
yeah i ordered my ipod touch thursday and on friday it updated to recieved at fedex location and has not changed since im glad to know that this hopefully isnt where it still is
 
yeah mine's been stuck in transit in shanghai since 4 days ago. supposed to arrive within 30 minutes... uhhhh
 
Fedex is still not updating their track information

Now it is 03/18/2013 and Fedex is still not updating their tracking information. They gave a small amount of tracking information in CA with my last package, then I wait days and it suddenly appears on my doorstep. There was a lot of tracking information in between missing. Now again a second package and the same thing.
