At your age I had my first computer. It had 9.54 Mhz and 0.5 MB RAM :D

Awesome how useful (and sleek) the computers have gotten that you grow up with.

how much did cassette tapes used to be back then?? i imagine quite a bit

Yep. They were expensive and slow. When I got the C64, I also got a 1541 disk drive. It took 170K 5.25" floppies that originally cost around $8/each. The price did go down over time, thank goodness.

 wow. thats pretty expensive now you can buy tapes for like 10c each hahaha. not that anyone uses them now..

I'd still call it prudery and hypocrisy. I don't know a single 13 year old who wouldn't know what that term means. In Germany, where it is not forbidden to talk about things being natural as eating, guess what - teenage pregnancy is a zero issue. Take the US in contrast, where children are "protected" by censoring their language, it's the opposite.

Children don't go ******* around just because you tell them how babies are made. Tell them that adults do this when they are old enough and then go out and continue playing ball with them. Everything is fine. Censorship is lying to your kids.

So it is your decision what my children should be exposed to? What if you think that my child should witness an act of murder for whatever educational purpose you could come up with? The point is that until my children are 18 years old they are my responsibility and I have the right to choose the timing and content of the (real-life) education that they will receive. You have obviously not yet matured enough to take that responsibility yourself. If you really think that using more profanity decreases teen pregnancy rates then... well you could revolutionize the birth control industry.

And at that dire point, it's goodnight to this thread as it's served its purpose. Thanks for playing.
