Anyone else have lower sound on iPhone 7 plus. I definitely feel it was much louder before. What's the point of stereo speakers if it's lower.

I have belonged to these forums for years now but couldn't remember my user details its been so long since I had a iPhone (iPhone 5) ...anyway

I currently have a iPhone SE 64GB on T-Mobile and I just updated and I too notice that the sound is very low compared to 10.0.2.

Anyone else experiencing this problem with low sound since updating to iOS 10.1?

I have the issue too. Some apps have loud sound, others I barely hear anything. Specially whatsapp and imessage voice messages.

So annoying. Music is lower on my app. Literally toggling the bar down to almost off and you hear nothing.

Why the hell did people say beta 4 fixed the sound and it was back to 10.02.

So annoyed. What's point of having stereo speakers.

Are you guys all with iPhone 7s or what

Unable to reproduce, iPhone 7 Plus, with 10.1. Playing music from the music app sounds plenty loud.

Are you per-chance paired with a Bluetooth device that could be affecting audio volume? I had a problem with this yesterday; the volume control was affecting the bluetooth output level (my car) and not my phone's volume. When I unpaired it, suddenly I was able to turn up the volume, in this case to hear Google Maps navigation prompts.

It is paired but none of the paired devices are connected right now.

I'm just wondering is the iPhone 7 still louder than 6s. Was playing music on a friends and it sounded basically as loud.
[doublepost=1477365265][/doublepost]it's loud but not as loud. Before when the toggle volume was low it still sounded semi loud.

My situation is just general phone use all around volume of the device as a whole and does not have anything to do with bluetooth, music or anything along those lines.

I'm wondering if they adjusted the volume toggle but max volume is still the same? Get what I'm saying? Anyone with 10.02 test and see the volume being louder.

No, I really don't get what you are saying to be honest. I have adjusted all adjustable options of volume increase/decrease and the volume is much lower in 10.1

I don't like how Apple manages volume output, why give me a volume slider if I can't truly control how loud or not I want my music? I get he EQ properties, but if I choose not to use those, let me have a non obstructed experience. Listening to Apple Music, then music through another app is like night and day.

Max volume is same but it's way the volume bar works now. Maybe it's more accurate with the way it displays actual volume

Noticed my 7 Plus was quieter through the headset. Full volume wasn't as loud as before.

I've noticed that there are times notification sounds don't even play. Especially from Outlook, I thought maybe I wasn't hearing it. But I've watched my display light up as an email came in and no chime ever played. My volume is almost all the way up too. I don't think this is a 10.1 problem I noticed it in 10.0.2 as well.

I've had that on iOS 9.x as well.

Guess I'll hold off on upgrading until this gets sorted.

tried testing this on iphone 6S / ios 10.1 for a phone call.

-made a call and as soon as the call picked up, i had to pull the phone away from my ear as it was too loud and then hung up.

-called again, this time using speakerphone, and now everyone who was in the office knows i called banana republic.

so, at least for phone calls on the iphone 6S, it's definitely not lower :D

For me its mainly when i play music from the music app. it just isn't as loud as it was on 10.02. such a shame. I really don't see how they even had a need to touch the sound.
