iPad mini Why is the new mini more $$$$ than the new "main" iPad??

I suspect that is speculative. Other sites are guessing 4GB RAM, but it seems that the RAM spec is an Apple state secret at the moment.

Yep. The iPad Air 4 has A14/4GB. Same for iPhone 12/12 mini. I doubt they'll reduce RAM on A15.

As far as pricing goes, think of it this way:

base iPad ~= iPhone SE

iPad mini ~= iPhone 13 mini
iPad Air ~= iPhone 13

iPad Pro 11 ~= iPhone 13 Pro
iPad Pro 12.9 ~= iPhone 13 Pro Max
