Hyperbole aside, I think @JMT$'s point is that in iOS 14 you can define a custom message that gets sent while DnD is on, while in iOS 15 others simply see the generic focus status in iMessage. As far as I can tell it can't be customized.

Even if true, that's hardly something that devalues iOS 15 to "toy" status, as @JMT$ asserts.

So yeah, a huge amount of hyperbole...
 
I understand where he's coming from even though I've never used that feature. I'm sure other users have used it and other business's used it well.

I never knew about that feature. I would have definitely put it to good use. (can't lose something you've never had)

And sometimes things get lost when changes are made. It happens.

If enough people are effected by it Apple's iOS developers will make the change in the future.

If not, He will have to plan accordingly.
