There isn't enough demand for this sort of thing.

Running Windows (better than it's implemented currently via Boot Camp) is not one of the main reasons consumers are purchasing Macs.

Yes it is. People really want Windows with a nice piece of hardware, hence they buy a MB. I'd guess that a fair percentage of users here run Windows alongside OSX. It has to be a large enough number or Apple wouldn't give you the option.

Not much has changed at Dell on that front for the Inspiron line-up. Again would help if you provided details. Of course you can configure any old laptop to cost 1300$ and still retain **** graphics and **** display if all you do is poor your upgrades into RAM/CPU/battery/accessories, but guess what, you still end up with monster specs then.

You're comparing 1 item of her laptop and declaring the whole package equivalent. Let's see some spec to spec comparison. Currently, looking at both the 15z and 15r offerings, it seems to disprove your assertion.

Yes because I have nothing better to do than lie about a Dell on Macrumors

All I remember is its a Dell XPS Studio laptop that has some kind of green background and something else (maybe a panda or something) on the lid. It has a 1280 x 800 resolution I believe which is unacceptable for a machine of this year.

I'll probably have exact specs and model number tonight.

Wrong example. "Users here" don't in any way shape or form represent a market that can move an appreciable amount of units to make an impact on Apple's strategy.

Most mac users do not dual-boot, since the bulk of Apple's market are made up of the average user. For that matter, your average Windows user doesn't dual-boot either.

Apple makes it easy to dual boot for a reason. Just as they don't offer USB 3 or BluRay. Why is that? Why cater to this non existent market and shun a market of millions?
