yeah in theory the high humidity could trigger the water indicators, though I personally have never seen that in practice.

My cousin loved taking underwater pool videos when he first got his GS5. All his friends called him on it immediately too, it was funny.
Why not just get a GoPro? Lol

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
Rumours are the Sony Xperia Z4 range will be waterproof without the flaps the current range uses and will have wireless charging, we shall see. But it's no biggy with the flaps as Sony give you a magnetic charging slot that is waterproof and has no cover.

It would be very wise for the rest of the industry to waterproof at least their phones but hey ho. More ruined phones dropping in the toilet I guess.

Loved this feature on the Z1 Compact I upowned for a while. Downside to this though was that it wouldn't work with a case in the phone. Wireless charging offers the optimal solution.

I'll deal with a flap that take milliseconds and be around water no prob, or out in my pool and doing business with not a worry like I did yesterday lol :D . . I mean seriously, if someone can't handle dealing with that flap, I would hate to see how they deal with or handle real issues in life lol

The issue isn't being able to deal with the flap but rather the inconvenience and limitation it creates. I love placing my phones in docks. Guess what I'm not able to easily use with the S5? ;)

You prefer the water resistance as you're around water a lot. I'm not and don't want to have to fiddle with a port cover everytime I charge my phone--just a matter of preference is all.
