There used to be a lot more interesting threads in the past. It just seems that the people who post here most are AppleScript people. There are still some of the old skool people around but most people here now just seem to be looking for simple scripting help rather than asking interesting and detailed programming questions. Shame. I used to post here a lot in the past (and in fact some of the members I see around here helped me to learn to program back in 2008 or so).
