No one needs it. In the same way no one needs good typography, but Apple stick to the rules of good typography because that's what they do.

No, they are using the banner size text to fill the wasted space so that it wouldnt m feel so empty as it is. There is nothing good... it is ridiculous.

Ceck the appstore for example. More or less it looks like my first websites made in 1998 or so. Only bling-bling is missing...

The headers look fine and serve a purpose. Reminds me of Windows Phone which had the best UI ever.

Thanks for the replies. I'm glad it's not just me. I was puzzled when I first started using 11.1 and saw all of the wasted space.
