That's a fallacy.

Oh it was true once, and it's often repeated by those who see jailbreaks as evil and Apple never discourages that.

But here are the facts.

Restoring wipes all trace of a jailbreak. Apple can't tell (although some will claim that they can) you ever had a jailbreak.

Three years ago Apple changed it's policy. They have to prove that a jailbreak caused whatever warranty issue you are experiencing before they can deny you service.

The worst they can do to you now is to ask you to restore your device.

In short…what you say is not true anymore.
Warranty is not cancelled if you JB.
You restore with itunes and bring it to Apple for service with no problems.

To be honest I wasn't very aware of how this is handled by apple. I personally wouldn't risk it at this price tag either way even thoug I do like jailbreak and have done it in the past.

Was that more than three years ago?
Of course. But they said the same thing back then too. Depends on who you get at the Genius Bar and what the problem is your experiencing with your phone. If it’s related to jailbreaking they won’t cover it. If something fails in the hardware then they will still from my experience.

I’ve never jailbroke my iPhone but now I have a car with CarPlay and I really want to get Waze on the screen. Don’t know much about jailbreak but from what I understand there are no jail breaks for IOS 11. Is that correct. Anyone found a way to get Waze on screen

Nope, currently no jailbreak for iOS 11.

I would suggest trying to find alternatives elsewhere (if they exist). A JB for 11 is not likely to drop any time soon.

Thanks I kind of figured as much.

It doesn’t seem like there is an alternative. I can get Waze alerts but not map. Seems Google owns Waze, so not much chance of Apple allowing it.

From my experience as a iPhone user since the 5 and jailbreaking for years. I have purchased the iPhone X (I skipped the 5S, 6S/6S+, 7/7+, 8/8+). Only thing that kept me purchasing a new iPhone every year was "Oh great jailbreak won't be out for who knows how long". Back in the day Apple didn't really know about it, but they found out and damn did they attack it.

That aside, reason why I got the iPhone X.
SwipeSelectionPro: As a lyricist, this is very important to me, I type a lot and I need to get my lines out as quick as possible before I forget them so if I get a typo, I swipe back and fix it - not hold down and wait for the bubble. Alternative to this has been a feature since force touch on the 6S where you swipe and it moves the cursor.
Swipe Home, SwitcherCC: For years I've hated the home button, I don't wanna click it a million times, swipe up and I get control centre and app switcher at the same time. Swipe from the right side of the phone to the left and it acts as the home button. iPhone X swipe from bottom = go home. I love how the Apple fans are like "omg we can navigate our phone with gestures now omg" and I'm sitting back like "uhh yeah I've been using my iPhone like that for years lmfao"
DoubleTapToSleep: I don't wanna click the sleep button, but sadly iPhone X, I will have to.

There are many more jailbreak tweaks I love, but can give up the others as the keyboard and gestures were my most prioritised tweaks. Keep my iPhone SE as my jailbroken phone, and have the iPhone X as a normal up to date software phone.

Others probably said it but Reachability is done by swiping downwards on the home area twice-quickly.
A jailbreak tweak for control centre, could probably hold down on the home area for it?
Unlocking straight to the home screen is a working tweak by a third party app, if no notifications are on your screen, it'll unlock straight away.

The throttling is said to start at 22GB in "congested areas". If I am in the large city nearby, when I get throttled the video looks to be 240p or worse; pretty much unusable. However in the remote area where I live I never get throttled for some reason, likely because the vast majority of cell-tower users are in their cars and just using voice and not streaming video.

Incidentally, there's no cable service available here, and the fastest DSL available tops out at 1.7 megabits (good HD video seems to require at least 6 megabits). So iPhone comes to the rescue, and with GPSCheat I am able to watch home-team MLB games that are blacked out even after paying $118.00 for a yearly subscription.
Where do you get gpscheat at? Would definitely be usable for my football games that might be blacked out.
