Thats the problem your using Ziphone 2.5 get 3.0. I had the same problem then I restored the phone thru itunes, downloaded Ziphone 3.0 and just jailbreak the phone don't unlock it and your youtube, googlemaps, and everything else will work.

I did use 3.0

No.

As I said before your REAL activation and Hacked activation are conflicting.

This is stoping YouTube working. In some cases using the fixes on installer will work but in you case clearly it has not.

Restore but disconnect you PC from the internet SO THAT THE PHONE DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATE!

When iTunes detects the phone but says it can't connect to the server then close iTunes and jailbreak your phone.

This will hack activate it (also called "factory activation") and iTunes will see it as activated and not send it another activation and EVERYTHING will work.

Restoring is annoying but if you do it before bed you can leave it syncing while you sleep and yourl be ready to go the next day!

*and believe me I know what I am talking about as my FAQ is stickied here and on hackint0sh where the DevTeam are*

There's one more thing that I just thought of. To restore and re-jailbreak, can I just press the restore button in iTunes, or do I have to do a full restore by restarting and then letting go of the home button?

Is Anyone There???

I still need help!!! Do I need to press the restore button in iTunes, or use the other restore?

Why don't you just try and see if it works!

But yes just clicking restore should do it - but disconnect your pc from the internet as soon as it starts restoring UNTIL you have jailbreaked the phone and it is activated that way.

Make sure you let iTunes detect the phone AFTER the restore - but it will say it has no network connection or something like that. Then run the jailbreak.

When its done when you connect it to iTunes everything will be working!

Isn't there a way to get Youtube working on Zibri without restoring the whole phone and reloading all the apps, etc? I just don't have the time to spend an hour or 2 rebuilding my whole phone from scratch.

Yeah, I think that there is a button in the ZiPhone application that you press to fix YouTube.

Unfortunately, I don't see any fix in Zibri's documentation/app that deals with Youtube. The only thing I've found in there is a suggestion to reset my network.

Seems other fixes floating around offer links to sources but have no working fix anymore.

Ooo - I don't trust that one at all. And far too complicated. No clue what winscp is either. Looks like I'll have to start from total scratch. Will probably do pwnd in that case.
