I have replaced the Wi-Fi card but still doesn’t work. Is there anything else that could go wrong that could stop it from working? Thanks

Replaced w/ what card? Be specific. Brand, model, specs, etc.

As previously suggested, you need to revert to a version of Mac OS supported by your 2009 iMac (w/out OCLP involved). Eliminate all those 'upgrade' variables. If the installed WiFi card doesn't work on a supported version of Mac OS then it's either the card or an issue w/ the logic board.

Have you tried resetting PRAM or SMC on boot?

The iMac had Sierra when they gave it to me and the Wi-Fi was not working too. As for the Wi-Fi card it’s a Model: ARSBXB92. I will try resetting the PRAM and SMC thank you

I can related to the need to understand why the internal WiFi card doesn't work.. but why not just buy a $25 USB WiFi dongle and move on?

Yes you are probably right it's just that it's puzzling as to what could possibly be wrong.
