same here on 11pro and SE, tried everything: wifi calling settings toggle on/off, airplane mode with wifi only, network setting reset etc...

We're seeing VERY weird behavior with wifi calling where it's knocking our Airport Express wifi router offline (no internet) when my husband gets on a call (he has wifi calling turned on).

Both of us updated to iOS14 on Wednesday. This started happening yesterday, and then again today. Have to unplug/plug the Airport Express to get internet back.

I'm turning off wifi calling for now on both phones. Bummer, since I only get 1-2 bars at my house.

Me too. Some problems with WIFI calls when updated to 14.0. In my case, it works after two or three attempts.

I haven't yet updated to IOS 14, but from what I have read, the new MAC address randomiaztion feature is on by default and has been found to cause a variety of Wi-Fi related problems. Has anyone turned that off to see if that helps with Wi-Fi calling problems?

Does not work for me no matter what I try. Apple crashed it in IOS 14 as it worked perfectly fine in IOS 13.

I am not going to waste my time calling Apple or my providers tech support and running into an agent that has never used an iPhone before and gives crappy advice. Apple's tech support for iPhones sucks.

No issues at all for me. iPhone 11 Pro Max, WiFi calling is working perfectly.

It is possibly more likely down to router and ISP issues than iOS14.

Many providers have changed the way the implement and route WiFi calling and this is causing some problems.

No problems here with Wi-Fi calling on my iPhone 7 with iOS 14. AT&T, if that matters.

The only 'bug' I've noticed so far is that default browser/email selections revert back to Safari/Apple Email if the device is rebooted.

I'm sure there's other bugs that an upcoming iOS 14.1 will resolve, but for now, it's working ok. Not a lot of "oooh and ahhh" with this update, but then no complaints either.

For 2020, that's a good thing! :)

For some strange reason WIFI Calling started working tonight. I don't know if this will be a permanent thing.

I still haven't switched to WiFi calling. Hanging onto my M-cell until it bites the dust. Curious how the two compare now.

Might want to reach out to T-Mobile as well. Maybe they need to update the carrier file. Could just be an incompatible issue on the T-Mobile side.

I reached out to them and all their techs at this one store said its working fine for them.

If the techs are running iOS14 and not having an issue with WiFi calling then it sounds like you have a bad OS install or hardware problems on your phone.

1. Disable and re enable Wifi Calling.

If that fails,

2. Disconnect Wifi. Reconnect.

If that fails,

Restart the phone.

If that fails, try both 1 and 2 again.

If that fails,

3. Reset Network Settings.

If that fails,

4. Reset All Settings.

If that fails,

try 2/1 again.

Nope. Not really. Not everybody experiences every bug.

And Apple employees have a track record of perjuring themselves.

Have you tried:
  • Disable WiFi calling in Settings.
  • Turn on airplane mode which would turn off WiFi as well.
  • Turn WiFi on on the phone.
  • Wait a few seconds and then turn WiFi calling back on in Settings.
  • Disable airplane mode.
If that does not work:
  • Connect the phone to your Mac, do a backup.
  • Restore the phone as a new device.
  • Check if WiFi calling is working.
  • Connect the phone to the your Mac, restore from backup.

It worked perfect in IOS 13! Besides it seems to work and then not work in IOS 14. Its working great right now, but later I bet its wont work again.

I am not going to reset network settings over an apple bug. Its working fine right now, but I bet it wont be after a while.
